Celebrate Our Community
At Fairburn, our diversity is one of our greatest strengths. Each year, we invite families to share their traditions, cultures, and stories with the whole school through our cultural heritage assemblies — meaningful celebrations that help students learn from one another, feel seen, and take pride in what makes our Fairburn community special.
👉 We're looking for parent volunteers to help bring these assemblies to life! Families will partner with a selected classroom teacher or grade level to help plan and support each assembly.
What's Involved:
- Parents will collaborate with a teacher or grade level to help plan and support each assembly. Teachers will have input into the planning process to ensure assemblies align with student body needs and creating meaningful experiences for students.
- Assemblies run 20–25 minutes and take place during a Monday or Friday morning school assembly.
- Presentations are designed for our elementary audience and can include a student performance, music, dance, traditional dress, language, decor/displays, or other elements that share your culture with the whole school.
- FAB may provide funding upon approval.
